INTRODUCTION
Explora S.A., a Swiss company with registered offices at Avenue Eugène-Pittard, 16, 1206 Geneva (Switzerland), registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Geneva under the official registration number CHE 315.766.578 (“Explora Journeys”), is pleased to launch the Open Deposit, dedicated to guests making new bookings under the terms described below. This benefit is only available onboard, and the deposit must be paid while guests are physically onboard an Explora Journeys ship, or an MSC cruises ship.
ELIGIBLE GUESTS
The open deposit is available for guests who make a new booking with Explora Journeys using the Open Deposit option. The Open Deposit can only be processed and paid while guests are onboard with our Future Journey ambassadors or our MSC Future Cruise Consultants.
PROMOTION DETAILS
The Open Deposit enables guests to make an advance payment toward the deposit for a future journey. This allows them to retain eligibility for the onboard booking benefit provided under the Future Journey Ambassador (FJA) program for a period of 90 days after their disembarkation.
Important: Once the booking is confirmed, the guest will still be required to pay the remainder of the deposit as per standard Explora Journeys Terms & Conditions.
The Open deposit left onboard is valid for 24 months from the date of payment and is refundable after expiration if not used.
The onboard booking benefit provided under the Future Journey Ambassador (FJA) program remains valid for 90 days following the completion of the journey. After this period, and up to the 24th month, any booking made using the Open Deposit will no longer qualify for the onboard booking offer and will instead be subject to the prevailing retail fare.

- 3,000 CAD
- 3,500 AUD
- 4,000 NZD
- 15,000 BRL
- 350,000 JPY
- 15,000 CNY
The Open Deposit is available on all Explora Journeys ships and may be purchased through our Future Journey Ambassadors, as well as on any MSC Cruises ship through the Future Cruise Consultants.
The future booking using open deposit can be finalized by the EEC Team.
This offer provides a flexible and reactive solution for guests who are not yet ready to commit to any specific potential future journey while sailing with us, but still wish to benefit from the onboard booking advantage.
Process: The deposit must be paid onboard through a Future Journey Ambassador (FJA) or a Future Cruise Consultant (FCC). Upon disembarkation, guests will receive a booking confirmation and may subsequently select their preferred sailing. The booking can be created by either the travel agent or the guest directly by contacting our Explora Experience Centre (EEC) team.
Purpose: The objective of this offer is to encourage guests to commit to a future booking while still benefiting from the onboard booking advantage. It is particularly suited to guests who have not yet decided on a specific journey while still being onboard.
