Tracing the coasts of South America northward, our Inaugural World Journey navigates into the heart of the Caribbean — a Passage shaped by the imprint of civilisations and the vibrant pulse of colour and culture. In Peru, the desert landscapes of the Paracas Peninsula emerge, inviting to discovery the enigmatic Nazca Lines and the wildlife-rich Ballestas Islands. Extended time in Lima allows for deeper inland immersion into the sacred Quechua legacy of Cusco and Machu Picchu. Sailing north, EXPLORA I reaches the Panama Canal, marking a defining moment as the Journey crosses from ocean to ocean. Gateway to greatness, Pisco is Peru’s lowland cradle of grape brandy. Its waterfront perch and Andean proximity preserve rich natural history: ancient vineyards from 1684, home to humble Humboldt penguins and flamingos and the Ballestas Islands, the “Peruvian Galápagos”. Nearby Montecristi awaits, the true birthplace of the Panama hat, where you can join artisan workshops to witness the centuries-old tradition of hats woven into superfine masterpieces. Welcome to Miami and the sweep of South Beach - backdrop to every iconic Miami movie, and forefront of Latin American culture. Stroll through pastel-hued geometric buildings in the art deco district, to graffiti mural masterpieces at Wynwood Walls. Watch Latino life unfold in Little Havana - the heartbeat of this great city - where walk-up windows sell café cortadito, sweet sugarcane juice, hatuey beer and guava ice-cream.
