Explora Journeys Celebrates The Explora Journeys Swiss Sailgp Team’s Homecoming In Geneva

Swiss SailGP Team brings the partnership with Explora Journeys to its home waters for the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix, alongside a series of exclusive media and partner experiences

Explora Journeys celebrated the homecoming of the Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team in Geneva this weekend, as the world’s leading high-speed sailing championship returned to Lake Geneva for the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix on 19 and 20 September.

Defined by the Ocean. Driven by Precision. The philosophy at the heart of the partnership was particularly fitting as the Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team brought the collaboration to Geneva, the city where Explora Journeys is headquartered and where its vision for a new category of ocean travel was first conceived. Here, the team’s connection to the water and the demands of high-performance sailing came together with Explora Journeys’ Swiss heritage, European design and Ocean State of Mind, creating a distinctive expression of the partnership on Lake Geneva.

The Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team, led by Swiss driver Sébastien Schneiter, raced aboard its fully Explora Journeys-branded F50 catamaran, continuing its campaign in the 2026 SailGP Championship. The team delivered a strong performance on home waters, securing its place in the final race on Sunday. Competing in front of a passionate home crowd, the team demonstrated the precision, teamwork and determination that define SailGP’s high-performance racing.

“What makes SailGP so compelling is what happens behind the spectacle. The speed is visible, but the level of precision, technology and teamwork required to achieve that performance is extraordinary,” said Sébastien Schneiter, Driver of the Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team. “Racing in Geneva, with our friends, partners and supporters around us, made this weekend incredibly special. We could feel the energy of the home crowd, and it gave the whole team an additional motivation to perform at our best.”

The weekend culminated in a private event at La Société Nautique de Genève, bringing together partners, media and invited guests to celebrate SailGP’s return to the city and the continued development of the partnership.

Set against Lake Geneva, the evening reflected the distinctive character of the collaboration, bringing together the energy of high-performance sailing with the considered experience of Explora Journeys. The event offered guests an opportunity to connect with the team and experience the partnership beyond the racecourse.

Since becoming Title Partner of the Swiss SailGP Team in 2026, Explora Journeys has developed a partnership rooted in a shared Swiss heritage and a common pursuit of excellence. The fully branded F50 catamaran and crew kit introduced in Bermuda earlier this year have since carried the Explora Journeys identity across the global SailGP calendar, creating a distinctive presence across some of the world’s most iconic coastal destinations.

With the 2026 SailGP Championship continuing across its global calendar, the Explora Journeys Swiss SailGP Team will carry the partnership forward into the next stages of the season, building on its development as one of the youngest teams in the championship and continuing to compete at the forefront of high-performance sailing.
