Itinerary
Itinerary
Day 1, San Juan, Puerto RicoDeparture 18:00
Explore the oldest US city for a dose of Caribbean history, slice of Spanish culture and twist of American dream. Roam historic Old San Juan alleyways to glimpse centuries-old forts and colourful colonial buildings. Learn how to move, as locals sashay out the salsa to rhythmic reggae beats. Shop the boho streets or glamorous boutiques for artisan goods, decadent designers and hand-rolled cigars. Experience world-class surfing, explore a tropical rainforest, attend a private rum cocktail tasting and polish off empanadas. Then retire to one of the beautiful beaches to soak up crystal clear waters and, perhaps, one last rum cocktail.
Day 2, Gustavia, Saint BarthélemyArrival 09:00Departure 20:00
Mingle amongst other discerning guests on this French isle that exudes relaxed glamour. Wander along secluded beaches, harbourside Creole huts, drop into bohemian bars and snorkel gently through warm turquoise waters. Visit La Tourmente, the peaceful salt ponds and admire uninterrupted views on a local boat trip. And as you sip your second (or third) glass of champagne to the lull of the gentle waves, it might be time to learn the French for "paradise found".
Day 3, Saint-Pierre, MartiniqueArrival 09:00Departure 17:00
Embrace Martinique’s natural joie de vivre. Volcanic in origin, Gallic in heritage and Creole at heart; explore old sugar plantations, premium rum distilleries, cocoa farms and St Pierre ruins at the foothills of the still smouldering Mont Pelée. Chase the Saut du Gendarme waterfall, explore the 10 million-year-old Caravelle peninsula, roam northern beach dusky sands and visit Le Carbet made famous by the artist Gauguin. And as you slow down to contemplate the sweet concoction of the national punch, you’ll understand why the Creole and French blend makes Martinique so magical.
Day 4, Bridgetown, BarbadosArrival 07:00Departure 18:00
Gently breeze into the vibrant capital of Barbados. Steeped in fascinating history, with architecture to match, uncover the wonderfully laid-back West Indian ambiance. Embrace the slow Bajan rhythm of this welcoming island; surf, snorkel and try spotting turtles in balmy azure waters. Explore subterranean Harrison’s Cave, Jacobean St Nicholas Abbey and zipline high above bountiful tropical flora. Then return to restore on pastel pink sands at palm-studded beaches, where you’ll discover cocktail hour is endless, and measures of rum are copious.
Day 5, Port of Spain (Trinidad), Trinidad and TobagoArrival 09:00
Few Caribbean nations are as rich as Trinidad and Tobago, where indigenous culture, European architecture, Indian heritage and Afro-Caribbean spirit merge in a sensory whirlwind. Port of Spain sprawls from the green expanse of Queen’s Park Savannah, where locals stroll in the shade of pink poui trees, spice-scented aromas drift through the air and a calypso soundtrack sets the rhythm for laid-back living. Trace the island’s history in architectural treasures like the gothic turrets of Stollmeyer’s Castle and the Greco-Roman outline of Whitehall. Beyond the city, spot scarlet ibis swooping through the mangroves in Caroni Swamp, take in the Gulf of Praia from Fort George and explore the mountainous Northern Range.

Day 9, Macapá, BrazilArrival 11:30Departure 14:00
Please note that the call to Macapá is a technical call required for clearance by the Brazilian authorities. Guests will not be able to disembark during this time. The clearance process includes a safety inspection, health inspection, and immigration formalities. Depending on the complexity, this may take several hours.
Day 10, Santarem (Pará), BrazilArrival 09:00Departure 18:00
Pink dolphins, piranhas, and the phenomenal “Wedding
of the Waters”; Santarém is both wild and wonderful. Dive into the liquid line where
two giant rivers -- the muddy Amazon and clear Tapajos – flow, side-by-side but
do not blend in a confluence almost too beautiful to behold. Trek through
enchanted forests: the Flona home to massive Samauma trees and indigenous Jamaraquá
peoples; or wander under tropical hardwoods in the vast Tapajós. Discover,
reflect, renew; Santarém is a surprise at every turn.
Day 11, Boca da Valeria, BrazilArrival 07:00Departure 14:00
Panoramas are big and population is sparse in
this small settlement where the Amazon River meets the Rio da Valeria. Revel
in a simple village lifestyle that’s been followed by the Amerindians for
centuries. Follow footpaths into lush rainforest, paddle canoes into
remote tributaries, and share joyful moments with loving communities who thrive on
simplicity and meaningful connections.
Day 12, Manaus, BrazilArrival 08:00
The beating heart of the Brazilian rainforest. This bustling frontier town emanates a verdigris grandeur, a throwback to the rubber boom gone by, illustrated best by the Belle Epoque opera house, with its marble halls and 198 Murano glass chandeliers. Drift away to the Philharmonic strains of Verdi or Mozart under frescoed ceilings in the midst of the steamy jungle. Outside, the inky Rio Negro meets but doesn’t merge with the more muddied Rio Solimoes, and pink dolphins, manatees and river otters ply the wide and winding waterways, the banks and jungle trails scattered with waterfalls, wild orchids, spider monkeys and jaguars.
