Journey Experience Credit

1. Introduction

Explora S.A., a Swiss company with registered offices at Avenue Eugène-Pittard, 16, 1206 Geneva (Switzerland), registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Geneva under the official registration number CHE 315.766.578, (hereinafter referred to as the "Explora Journeys”) offers a “Journey Experience Credit” to eligible guests for use onboard during their Journey. 

2. Eligible guests

The Journey Experience Credit applies to:

  • Guests with a JEC associated with their booking

  • The first and second guests occupying the suite

3. Nature of the Credit

  • The Journey Experience Credit is an onboard credit available once the Journey begins
  • It is applied once per booking, per suite, regardless of:
    • Suite occupancy
    • Journey duration
    • Back-to-back or consecutive voyages
  • The credit has no cash value, is non-refundable, and non-transferable 

4. Usage of the Credit

The Journey Experience Credit may be used onboard toward a wide range of experiences, including:

  • Culinary experiences (including Anthology and curated tastings)

  • Premium wines, spirits, cocktails and beverages

  • Destination Experiences (shore excursions)

  • Treatments at Ocean Wellness – The Spa

  • Curated shopping at The Journey

  • Post-Journey transfers

  • Onboard suite upgrades

5. Exclusions

The “Journey Experience Credit” is not applicable towards:

  • Purchases in luxury monobrand boutiques (including Rolex on EXPLORA I and Explora III, Buccellati on EXPLORA II, Chopard and Ocean Atelier on EXPLORA III, and Cartier, Piaget, and Panerai) 

  • Ocean Atelier 

  • Casino credits, advances, or gaming-related transactions 

  • Cash withdrawals or cash-equivalent transactions 

  • Gratuities or additional discretionary gratuities 

  • Donations to the MSC Foundation 

  • Clarendon Fine Art 

  • Host Lifestyle Fund contributions

6. Currency

The currency of the “Journey Experience Credit” is based on the onboard currency of the Journey booked by the guest.   
The following itineraries operate with Euro:

  • Mediterranean & Western Europe

  • Northern Europe

  • Iceland & Greenland

  • Red Sea & Arabian Peninsula

  • Grand Journeys between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea & Arabian Peninsula

 The following itineraries operate with USD:

  • Caribbean & Central America

  • Alaska

  • South America & Amazon

  • Central & North America Pacific Coast

  • US & Canada East Coast & New England

  • Transatlantic Grand Journeys 

7. Redemption & Validity

  • The “Journey Experience Credit” is applied against charges appearing on the guests’ folio during the booked Journey 
  • It is non-refundable, non-transferable, and has no cash value
  • If the “Journey Experience Credit” value is not fully redeemed, there is no cash refund for any unused element
  • The full credit amount must be used by 18:00 on the final evening of the Journey and any portion remaining will be forfeited.
  • The credit: 
    • May only be used onboard
    • Cannot be used prior to embarkation
    • Cannot be converted into Explora Credit or any other form of credit

8. Combinability

The offer is combinable with the Grand & Extended Journeys, Back-to-Back sailings, Journeys for Solo Travellers, Additional Guests and Younger Travellers (3rd and 4th guest fares), Past Guests offer, Consortia Amenities, MSC Onboard Offer, Flexible Journeys and Onboard Booking savings. 

It is not combinable with any other offer or reduced fare programmes unless explicitly stated.

9. General conditions

Explora Journeys reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Promotion. Explora Journeys Booking Terms and Conditions, available at https://exploraJourneys.com/ or from your Travel Advisor, shall fully apply to all bookings. For any other information, please contact your Travel Advisor or one of our Explora Experience Centre Ambassadors. 

The offer may be withdrawn at any time.

Important clarifications

  • Journey Experience Credit is distinct from Explora Credit 

  • It is intended exclusively for onboard use during the Journey.

  • Journey Experience Credit cannot be converted into Explora Credit or any other form of credit.
