1. Day 1 , Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy 2028-10-02 Departure 20:00

   Corsica’s capital, a 16th-century citadel cradled by mountains on the island’s west coast, could take its magnetic moniker from its founder, the Greek hero Ajax, or from the word adjaccium, Roman for “place to rest”. This is Napoleon’s birthplace, so beeline the old town’s charming narrow streets to Maison Bonaparte, the family home and now a museum, and Baroque cathedral where he was baptised in the marble font. Meander markets popular with foodies seeking local winemakers, olive oil, chestnuts and cheeses, and kick back on white sands in the beautiful Bay of Ajaccio with views of the Genoese tower on the Parata Peninsula and rust-coloured Sanguinaire islands beyond.
3. Day 3 , La Spezia, Italy 2028-10-04 Arrival 08:00 Departure 20:00
   Supremely situated between the Cinque Terra and Pisa with fabulous Florence and lesser-travelled Portovenere in between, La Spezia gives you space to explore the beauty of Liguria. Go ashore and surrender to the region’s culinary artistry in cosy trattorias or delve into its illustrious naval history. In every direction, UNESCO sites abound the five colourful coastal villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore; venture to Pisa’s leaning tower and Piazza dei Miracoli; hop a boat to more quiet yet still colourful Portovenere’s village with medieval cliff-topped Doria Castle. Stay close or venture an hour out, either way, you will love illustrious La Spezia.
4. Day 4 , Villefranche-sur-Mer (Nice), France 2028-10-05 Arrival 09:00 Departure 23:00
   A bejewelled siren sunning along the Côte d’Azur, Villefranche-sur-Mer beckons with provincial scenes, rainbow-bright houses and flowers fluttering everywhere. Poised at the tip of a sapphire harbour, this genteel enclave has curves in all the right places, including the only Corniche that winds beside Plage des Marinièr with its crescent flour-soft sand that sweeps around the cobalt Med. Escape into charming chapels and centuries-old citadel that affords shimmering views of Cap Ferrat then venture to two nearby medieval walled towns of atelier-focused St Paul de Vence or easy-on-the-eyes Eze which captured the imagination of Mr. Walt Disney.
   
5. Day 5 , Saint-Tropez, France 2028-10-06 Arrival 09:00 Departure 20:00
